READ, THINK, PRAY, LIVE:

These four words represent an ancient way of knowing God’s Story—The Bible. It is called Lectio Divina or Spiritual Reading. Use this

framework to help you as you journey through SENT.

As You Pray:

Meditate on God’s presence. Ask him to bring to

your mind those who you should be pursuing for him. Ask God to ignite a passion

in you that you can pursue for His Kingdom; a passion that will not let you rest. In the margin of your SENT book, jot down all the names God brings to mind, all the

God Loving Us:

Matthew 23:37-38 (MSG)

Jerusalem! Murderer of prophets! Killer of the ones who brought you

God's news! How often I've ached to embrace your children, the way a hen gathers her

chicks under her wings, and you wouldn't let me.

Us Loving Others:

1 Corinthians 13:13

...So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love…13But

for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that

consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the

best of the three is love.

Reflect:

Put yourself in a hot air balloon and look around at those below you. Some are

happy as can be, some are lonely, some are yelling at someone else, some are getting yelled at, some are addicted to materialism, sex, or drugs and some are scared. How can

the way you live your life bring hope to these situations? (Sent pg. 69)
